Bob MarleyMusic is a very powerful way to reach children, adolescents, and adults in the therapeutic setting and provides a unique way for people to express their feelings. Music reaches people in ways that traditional therapy sometimes cannot.
There is evidence that when used along with conventional treatment, music helps to reduce pain, relieve chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and can lower heart rate, blood pressure and breathing rate. It may also relieve stress, provide an overall sense of well being.
The Bridges CD Project showcases local artists who have donated a piece of music to share inspiration and provide support to patients and their loved ones, who struggle daily with the challenges of cancer.
Proceeds from this CD will support the Pacific Oncology Foundation, which will be used to help those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
